The Annual Research Development Project of SDOMuntinlupa for CY 2016 known as the Research Parliament kicked off in January 2016. The project which is composed of three phases: Capacity Building on Research Methodology, Research Conference, and Research Parliament Awards, aimed to capacitate our teachers on research methodology, to produce a compilation of correctly-done and meaningful action classroom researches which would help in SDO Research Development Project Breaking New Grounds towards Continues Improvement in the Delivery of Quality Education Ms. Nerissa R. Lomeda, SGOD Chief, Dr. Mauro C. De Gulan, Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Warren Ramos, Regional Supervisor, Planning & Research, Mr. Noel D. Bagano, Assistant Schools Division Superitendent, Dr. Remedios R. Cunanan, AO IV, and Ms. Madeline Ann L. Diaz, CID Chief.

The top 10 best teacher-researchers of SDO-Muntinlupa, both from elementary and secondary schools improving the delivery of quality basic education in the Division, to recognize best educational research, and to showcase the best action research in terms of novelty and functionality.

At least 28 teacher-researchers simultaneously presented their respective action researches to almost 300 members of Division and School Research Committee during the 2nd Research Conference at Lyceum of Alabang on March 25.  The 10 winners received PhP5,000.00 cash each and a trophy. The top 3 best oral presenters were also awarded with PhP3,000.00 cash each and a certificate of recognition.

It was a whole-day event that showcased the best research entries to compete for the Parliament. It primarily aimed to recognize the three best educational research presenters, to update teacher-researchers on new techniques, to provide a forum for teacher-researchers to identify best evidence-based practices, and to pre-assess the researches for the Research Parliament Awards.

The said event was attended by the DepEd Central Office Project Development Officer Mr. Michael Manangu. He commended the Division of Muntinlupa for its outstanding programs and projects such as the conference. He stated that the conduct of Research Conference significantly develops the skills of the teachers and more importantly it encourages to come up with solutions to the learning problems in the classroom. SDO-Muntinlupa honored the 10 outstanding teacher-researchers, 7 from elementary and 3 from secondary levels, during the most prestigious awarding ceremony in Muntinlupa named as The 2nd Research Parliament Awards at Cinema 2, Ayala Malls, South Parks, Alabang on April 1.

The said event was attended by the Regional Supervisor of Policy, Planning and Research Dr. Warren A. Ramos, who praised SDO Muntinlupa headed by Dr. Mauro C. De Gulan, Schools Division Superintendent, for always coming up with programs which intend to encourage teachers to do educational research. He stated that research is now the trend of the 21st Century learning and teaching, which is why every step towards betterment in education should be research-based.

Dr. Mauro C. De Gulan stated that SDO Muntinlupa would continuously hit the target of sustaining the established community of teacher-researchers for positively critical, purpose-driven and highly-skilled teachers fundamentally speak for exemplary learning performance of schools.

The event also served as a special way of expressing the sincerest appreciation of SDO Muntinlupa for the commitment the teachers have shown in achieving the quality education for Muntinlupeňo learners through comprehensive classroom action research.
